First of all, I have to mention the amazing garden view that this hotel offers. It’s truly a treat to wake up to such a beautiful sight every morning. The location of the hotel on the outskirts of Rotorua is also a plus, as it provides a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of the city center.
Everything was decent and met my expectations.

Close to many tourist attractions and just a 15-minute walk from whakarewarewa. Our room had a sunny balcony, and the free WiFi worked perfectly. It was a great choice to stay here, we really enjoyed it! ☀️

View from the bedroom window; convenient to drive out of Rotorua quickly
Off-hand treatment from receptionist on arrival. No suggestions made as to where we could eat because too late to reserve table. Communal areas looked overdue for refurbishment

This was my favourite hotel in New Zealand. Top marks to the young lady manning the bar and putting up with a bunch of unruly poms. Made to feel very welcome and thoroughly looked after. Location was fantastic, outside our windows was a boiling mud pool with geysers behind.
A little bit far from the town centre to walk but easy enough cab ride and the tourist buses picked us up from here anyway.

The bed was nice, and the staff was friendly. Amazing view from the bedroom. A great stay in Rotorua. Short way from Pavillion, where you can have lunch.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The room was huge and had a breathtaking view of the geysers. The bed was very comfortable, and I had a great night's sleep. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, making sure that my stay was pleasant. The location was perfect for me as it was close to the mountain bike trails and just a short drive from the city center. the cleanliness, hotel facilities, and the stunning view were the best aspects of my stay.
Everything was exactly what I needed and wanted.

Very poor experience. My reservation was lost in cyberspace and the receptionist had no idea how to resolve the problem. The room was cheap and shabby. Bed uncomfortable. Bathtub and sink in poor repair. I will not return, even if it is free!
Everything. Cheap, shabby, poor repair, poor receptionist attitude.

The view of the geyser and mud pools from our room.
Price should include access to spout pools.

Our romantic escape was made better by the beautiful views from the room which were breathtaking and created the perfect ambiance for a romantic night in. We loved the fact that it was conveniently located near geysers and mud pools which made exploring the area easier. the staff were always ready to help and made us feel welcomed and valued.
The hotel was showing its age, with the decor being slightly outdated and some facilities not working as they should. the bedding was average, and the bathroom needed updating.

Looked out over the local hot mud pool and geyser.
Pool was not clean and the water was cold, hot-tub (spa) was not working. The whole place needed some TLC.

During our Christmas stay at this hotel, we were pleasantly surprised by the stunning view from our room. The location was also perfect and convenient for exploring the surrounding area. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
The bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned and the room lacked a CD player, despite being advertised. the hotel has potential but could benefit from some much-needed renovations to improve the guest experience.

the incredible, stunning view over the adjacent Whakarewarewa thermal area. It was so good that we didn't feel it necessary to pay the entrance fee to get any closer!
the buffet breakfast was rather limited and disappointing compared to others we encountered on our NZ trip.
